Welcome to Kuching-Car-Rental.com. By using our services, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with any booking.

1. General Terms

1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of vehicles from Kuching-Car-Rental.com.

1.2 By renting a vehicle, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements and agree to abide by these terms.

1.3 Kuching-Car-Rental.com reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Eligibility & Driver Requirements

2.1 The renter must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Malaysian or International Driving License (for foreigners) with at least one (1) year of driving experience.

2.2 The driver must provide a valid driving license, identity card (IC) or passport, and an additional contact number.

2.3 The renter is responsible for ensuring that only authorized drivers operate the rented vehicle.

3. Booking & Payment

3.1 All bookings are subject to availability.

3.2 A booking fee is required to confirm the reservation. Full payment must be made upon vehicle delivery.

3.3 Payment can be made via cash, bank transfer, or online payment methods as accepted by Kuching-Car-Rental.com.

3.4 Prices are subject to change without prior notice. However, confirmed bookings will not be affected by price changes.

4. Booking Fee & Deposit

4.1 A booking fee is required to confirm a reservation. The amount may vary depending on the vehicle type.

4.2 The booking fee is non-refundable in case of cancellation by the renter but can be used for future bookings with no expiration date.

4.3 Full payment of the rental fee must be made upon vehicle delivery.

4.4 For monthly rentals, a refundable deposit is required. The deposit amount varies based on the vehicle type and will be refunded within 1 to 3 business days after the vehicle is returned in good condition.

5. Vehicle Collection & Return

5.1 Vehicles must be collected and returned at the agreed time and location.

5.2 Late returns will be subject to additional charges.

5.3 The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as provided upon collection, or a refueling charge will apply.

5.4 Customers are required to inspect the vehicle for any existing damages before taking possession.

6. Usage & Restrictions

The rented vehicle is allowed for use within Kuching area only. For travel outside Kuching, additional charges may apply. Renters must inform Kuching-Car-Rental.com in advance for approval and pricing details.

6.1 The rented vehicle must not be used for:

• Illegal activities, including smuggling or transporting prohibited goods.

• Racing, off-road driving, or driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

• Carrying more passengers than the legally permitted capacity.

• Sub-renting to another party.

6.2 Renters are responsible for all traffic violations, summons, and toll charges incurred during the rental period.

7. Insurance & Liability

7.1 All vehicles are covered by basic insurance. However, renters are responsible for any excess charges in the event of an accident.

7.2 The insurance does not cover negligence, illegal activities, or unauthorized drivers.

7.3 In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately inform Kuching-Car-Rental.com and file a police report within 24 hours.

7.4 The renter is responsible for all repair costs if damages are caused due to negligence.

8. Cancellation & Refund Policy

8.1 Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the rental date.

8.2 Booking fees are non-refundable, but they can be used for future bookings with no expiration date.

8.3 Refunds (excluding booking fees) will be processed within 1-3 business days. For deposits related to monthly or long-term rentals, refunds will be issued within 1-3 business days after the vehicle is returned in good condition.

9. Breakdown & Emergency Assistance

9.1 If the vehicle breaks down, renters must immediately contact Kuching-Car-Rental.com for assistance.

9.2 The company will provide a replacement vehicle if available. Otherwise, a partial refund may be issued.

9.3 The renter is responsible for any breakdowns caused by negligence (e.g., running out of fuel – customers will be charged for refueling, off-road driving).

10. Termination of Rental Agreement

10.1 Kuching-Car-Rental.com reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement without refund if the renter violates any of these terms.

10.2 The company may repossess the vehicle if it is found being used for illegal activities or if the renter fails to make required payments.

11. Privacy Policy

11.1 All personal information provided to Kuching-Car-Rental.com will be kept confidential and used only for rental purposes.

11.2 We do not sell or share customer information with third parties unless required by law.
